The structure
The property.
Nestled in a charming orchard and close to the area’s main tourist attractions, our home is the ideal base for discovering the beauty of the Gulf of Naples while enjoying a peaceful and relaxing stay surrounded by the lush nature of the Vesuvian countryside.
Located next to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Oplontis – Villa di Poppea, just 350 meters from the highway and a five-minute walk from the Circumvesuviana train station, the property allows you to reach the Pompeii archaeological site in only a few minutes.
The apartment.
Recently renovated and measuring 100 square meters, the apartment is comfortable, bright, and welcoming. Each room features French windows opening onto the orchard, creating a pleasant sense of continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The living room is the heart of the home: a spacious and elegant area enhanced by a fireplace and an antique vaulted ceiling, with furnishings that blend modern comfort and vintage charm. A dedicated children’s play area is also available.
The kitchen opens onto a cozy porch, the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee or a relaxed conversation while sitting at the table or on a charming bench.
The apartment is equipped with air conditioning in the kitchen, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and portable fans in the other rooms.
The bedrooms.
The master bedroom is furnished with beautifully restored 1920s walnut burl furniture, while the smaller bedroom, located on the mezzanine level and accessible via a wooden spiral staircase, features new furnishings.
All bed frames and mattresses are brand new.
The Bathrooms.
The apartment offers two spacious, fully equipped bathrooms. The second bathroom also includes a washing machine and an additional sink.

The garden. Large, lush, and colorful, with a perfect balance of sun and shade, the garden is a peaceful and delightful place to relax and enjoy the harmony of the Vesuvian landscape. It is also ideal for children, who can run and play freely. For their enjoyment, the garden is equipped with a slide, swing, playhouse, and table football. Guests are free to pick fruit as needed.
The neighboring archaeological site
Considered one of the five most important archaeological sites in Europe, buried like Pompeii following the dramatic eruption of 79 AD, Oplontis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers the most significant monumental remains of the Pompeian suburbs. The villa, adorned with exceptional artistic treasures, consists of 100 rooms, including state rooms, porticoes, a 17x62 meter swimming pool, private bathrooms, kitchens, and quarters for slaves and freedmen.
The host
My name is Francesco Auricchio. I’m a teacher with a passion for travel, meeting people, and the culture of the South. Over the years, I have volunteered in Brazil, Tunisia, and India, experiences that have deeply enriched my outlook on the world.
I love my homeland and this house, our family’s old home, once belonging to my grandparents. It is a place filled with memories and history, and I’m delighted to share it with our guests, welcoming them into a space that tells a story and feels like home.
